It’s Back for 2010..........
Thanks to the continued support and sponsorship from Lincoln, well known for their range of horse health and leather care products, the challenge once again has a £5,000 prize fund on offer. The Lincoln brand remains a firm favourite with both top competition and leisure riders.
Leading names in the eventing world are planning to attend this innovative event following its addition to the calendar in 2009. Held at the JumpCross headquarters at Grange Farm, Wittering near Peterborough, this year’s challenge takes place on Tuesday, June 22nd 2010.
The winner’s purse last year went to Angus Smales and top names including Oliver Townend, Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks and Piggy French turned out in force to support the new venture.
Riders take part in a two round competition over a course of fences ranging from 3ft 6in to 3ft 9in on cross country type terrain. This proved to be exciting and exhilarating for competitors and spectators alike and everyone enjoyed the day last year.
Top event rider and JumpCross ambassador Jeanette Brakewell said: “JumpCross is a unique sport run across country with knock down fences. Each round will be timed and penalties added for knock-downs and refusals. At the end of the course there is also a joker fence which gives you a chance to reduce your score.”

With the £2,500 first prize going to Angus Smales in 2009, second and third placed Clayton Fredericks and Mark Kyle will be trying to overhaul his winning round in 2010.
